With a record-breaking attendance of 30,259 participants, the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) offered attendees the opportunity to see the latest in radiology imaging technology. Dunlee contributed to the excitement by presenting one of its CT bundles, the Xpert with CT6000. The bundle includes a generator, X-ray tube, a cooling unit and a detector that have been developed and tested together, as well as color-coded cables, tool and manuals.
“The CT6000 features a unipolar design that uses a water-based cooling liquid, rather than oil,” says Jerry Carlson, Technical Director for Dunlee. “This boosts cooling capacity to support high patient throughput with a very short cooling period between patients.” Tungsten parts shine at ECR 2019 Dunlee also showcased its expertise in using 3D printing to create highly complex shapes in pure tungsten. A mock-up demonstrated three applications: the creation of a CT anti-scatter grid, for which tungsten offers high stopping power; a collimation grid, in which tungsten enables a special wall structure that effectively collimates the beam; and the building of a concept part. Tungsten’s high melting point and high density make it an excellent material for extreme applications.
Dunlee customers enjoyed a special reception at ECR, as well as many opportunities to offer feedback and learn about Dunlee’s plans for the future.
