Dunlee increases production of CT tubes with CoolGlide™ technology to meet COVID-19 related demand
Dunlee is escalating production of its CT4000, CT6000 and CT8000 CT X-ray tubes to meet increased demand resulting from the novel coronavirus pandemic. CT scanners can detect the "ground glass" opacities in the lungs that are indicative of COVID-19, making them an important tool in COVID-19 diagnosis.1
No waiting for tube cool down
Dunlee CT4000, CT6000 and CT8000 CT tubes feature CoolGlide™ technology, a liquid metal bearing that enhances tube reliability and supports long tube life. Continuously circulating fluid transfers heat away from the anode while the large surface area aids heat dissipation, so users can run CT systems all day without interruption.
"Busy imaging departments do not have time to wait for tubes to cool down between CT studies, particularly given the increased use of CT scanners during this pandemic," says Alexander Eitel, Head of Marketing & Business Development. "By increasing production, we are ensuring that CT system manufacturers who use our tubes can supply hospitals with CT scanners that can withstand high patient volume and deliver excellent image quality.
